Selling FAQ’s

Why should I sell my boat with Flying Cloud Yachts?
The qualities that distinguish Flying Cloud Yachts are our experience in the business and our passion for boating. We have served Alamitos Bay and Long Beach for over 40 years. We currently have seven full time brokers, and they collectively have over 150 years of experience in the industry. And our love of boating, the ocean, and the lifestyle is just as important. Our brokers have more than 300,000 miles of ocean experience, and two of us have even circumnavigated the globe. A large portion of our business comes from referrals and repeat customers, and that’s because we are committed to providing the best service, even after you’ve made a sale or a purchase.
What is the first step I should take to get ready to sell my boat?
The first step in the process of selling your boat is to have it appraised. Flying Cloud Yachts can do an appraisal for you. We can then advise you as to whether your boat needs to have any work done or whether it can be sold in its current state.
Where will I store my boat during the sales process?
Flying Cloud Yachts offers a few options for storing your boat. In Alamitos Bay, we have over 100 feet of prime sales slips. We also offer space in the Port of Los Angeles, where we’re the owners and operators of Newmark’s Yacht Centre. The slips there can put up boats between 30 and 130 feet. We also have ample space at our office to display trailered boats.
Are slips difficult to obtain?
Due to the Alamitos Bay Marina rebuilding project, it can be a challenge to find slips. However, we do have a lot of space and, thanks to our experience and relationships, we are able to find boat slips for our customers.
